The East Islip School District ran its annual Summer Innovation and Enrichment Academy for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, held during two one-week sessions in July and August at East Islip Middle School.

During May and June, East Islip Middle School students in Hal Kench’s Technology Club contributed to school beautification by creating new benches for the school’s courtyard.

Anthony Montemarano was appointed as the new principal of East Islip Middle School, replacing interim principal John Dolan, and Nicholas Spiegler has been named as an assistant principal for the school.
